Jay Service Incorporated is one of Iowa

years of combined ballroom and country dancing experience, Kathy and Bob
Meador have trained and educated over 100 disc jockey entertainers.
Learning the disc jockey service the K-B way means both
a minimum of 50 hours classroom/ studio experience plus K-B apprentice
program to learn every aspect of the entertainment business. After
learning a lesson plan developed by KB and famous DJ entertainers. Your
first classes will included instruction on etiquette
and dress. K-B stresses the appropriate attire for each type event
from classic wedding reception, a holiday business party to a casual
tent or pool side event. K-B employees wear fully coordinated K-B tuxedo
ensembles, a semi formal look of dress shirt and tie, as well as the
relaxed country club looks of polo slacks and K-B polo shirts and
Caribbean festive wear. The K-B standard has raised the bar in DJ attire
all over Iowa. The K-B dress code results in employees rated the highest
in the entertainment business for professional attire. As a K-B
performer you will gain high self esteem, by always looking well
groomed professional and appropriate for every event. In contrast to
many large franchise DJ services-- K-B uses a 1:1 class room and third
assist
live training program involving a total of over 100 NO CHARGE
Educational Programming. Employees are required to sign on for a
minimum of one years employment in exchange for teaching each employee
the skills that they can carry on to develop a career on their own.

K-B teaches
body mechanics and electrical safety and trouble shooting for every type
of light show, special effect machinery and traditional CD players. In
2003 KB added high tech computerized MP3
systems with virtual mixer boards. that are in current vogue in
Las Vegas entertainment venues and Carnival
Cruise lines. Our

technology. K-B employees will be provided the technical education to
work with a wide variety of the very best equipment in the dee jay
business including Shure Cordless
microphones, Yorkville Audio Pro Speakers and amplifiers, JBL EON self
amplified speakers, Martin Professional computerized stage lighting
systems.
The general
impressions of a “DJ who sits behind a cheap mixer board playing loud
music in torn blue jeans” is shattered quickly when a client and their
quests meet a K-B dee jay.

Service policy has a strict professional policy regarding the use of
alcohol and tobacco products. K-B studio and office is a non-smoking
facility both inside, on property grounds or in company vans and trucks.
The focus and energy level required of upscale entertainment does not
correlate with employees who must leave an event intermittently to
smoke. Employees of K-B are required to safely transport K-B equipment
and other employees to event venues all over the state of
Iowa and bordering states. Drugs and Alcohol use is
a safety issue and performance issue that is strictly controlled. K-B
subscribes to a policy that our professional entertainers do not use ANY
alcohol during performances in accordance with the standards of Disc
Jockey Professional Organizations. If you use street drugs or have an
alcohol addiction or habit we ask that you refrain from making an
application for employment.

Mobile curriculum includes the history of music
and dancing. A class on ballroom etiquette and dance floor safety is a
requirement. Dance classes are provided on all types of dance
steps and the correct music appropriate to a wide variety of dancing.
Employees will learn how to be INTERACTIVE perform
and teach party dances like the Cha Cha
Slide, Follow The Leader, Congas, Electric Slide, Limbo, and many
many more. Dee Jays will learn how to
follow a format that call for a variety of master of ceremony types from
the most interactive type of dee jay to a classic elegant master of
ceremony for more sedate events. Hands on experience apprentice
program produces the best performers in the business because so much
expert time and energy are invested into each event. Employee
training is focused on custom client service. A focus on quality service
is always the goal for K-B performances. Employee training includes
instruction on acoustics of using sound at the correct party volume
ALWAYS at the preference on the client.
